What Ozoon is
Ozoon replaced Bodog in Canada on 17 February 2026, after an overnight changeover; Bodog players kept their accounts and logins1. The site is run by Rocketship Ventures S.R.L., a Costa Rican company2, and its footer reads: "Ozoon is operated pursuant to a current Gaming License, and is overseen and regulated by the Tobique Gaming Commission ... Ozoon.eu is operated by Rocketship Ventures S.R.L with license no. 0000067"
Ozoon's help centre carries a full set of seven MatchPay articles, and MatchPay appears in both its deposit and withdrawal limit tables3,4,5. We did not open an account, so we cannot confirm MatchPay shows in every Canadian cashier; Ozoon itself says "some deposit options are not available to all members based on their region and eligibility"6.
Who can join
- Not the US. Ozoon's terms list the USA among "Excluded Jurisdictions" whose residents may not open accounts2. If you are in the US, the sportsbook to read about is Bovada.
- Not four provinces. Quebec, Nova Scotia and Manitoba are restricted, and New Brunswick is excluded2.
- 18 or older. That is Ozoon's minimum2; your province may set a higher age, and that is the one that applies.
- Ontario. Ozoon's terms do not exclude Ontario, but it is not in iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites7. Ontario players have regulated options on that list.
A licence from the Tobique Gaming Commission is not a licence from your province. Check your province's rules before you sign up; nothing here is legal advice.
MatchPay limits, next to Interac
Ozoon's MatchPay ceilings are higher than Bovada's: $3,000 a transaction against $2,000. The more useful comparison for a Canadian is Interac e-Transfer, the method Ozoon builds its cashier around4,5:
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Withdrawals allowed |
|---|---|---|---|
| MatchPay | $10 to $3,000 | $10 to $3,000 | 2 per 24 hours |
| Interac e-Transfer | $20 to $500 | $20 to $3,000 | 1 per 24 hours |
| Direct bank transfer | $20 to $1,500 | $20 to $3,000 | 1 per 7 days |
| Visa / Mastercard | $20 to $1,000 | Not listed | n/a |
| Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin | Up to $5,000 | $10, no upper limit (paid in up to $9,500 pieces) | 1 per 3 days |
On fees, Ozoon says it charges nothing for Interac in either direction, though your bank may8,9. Neither fee page mentions MatchPay at all. Outside crypto, MatchPay's $3,000 is the largest single deposit Ozoon lists: cards stop at $1,000, bank transfers at $1,500 and Interac at $500.

The app problem
Ozoon's MatchPay page names the same six apps as Bovada's: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Chime and Cash App10. Here is what each app's own terms say about who can use it:
| App | What its terms say | Usable from Canada? |
|---|---|---|
| Venmo | "You must be in the United States and have a U.S. bank account"11 | No |
| Zelle | "The sender and recipient's must have U.S bank accounts"12 | No |
| Cash App | "You must be a resident of the United States"13 | No |
| Chime | Users must be "a legal resident of the United States"14 | No |
| Apple Pay (Apple Cash) | Person-to-person Apple Pay payments use Apple Cash, which says to "Be at least 18 years old and live in the United States"15 | No |
| PayPal | Runs a Canadian service16 | Yes |
By the apps' own rules, PayPal is the only one of the six a Canadian resident can sign up for. Every MatchPay trade at Ozoon would then run through PayPal, sent as "Friends & Family" or "Gift" as MatchPay instructs17, which gives up the protection of a purchase. Ozoon's pages do not address any of this, and it may simply mean fewer matches. Look at which trade methods MatchPay offers you before you count on it for a deposit.
USD or CAD?
Ozoon's "What is MatchPay?" page says the credit you buy "is converted to USD to play at Ozoon"10, the same sentence Bovada's page uses. Its promotions page says "All casino promotions are in CAD" and quotes its bonuses in Canadian dollars18, and the terms say your account currency is shown in the cashier and you should check it2. The MatchPay sentence looks carried over from the shared help text, but Ozoon has not corrected or explained it. Check the currency of a trade, and of your balance after it, before you rely on the numbers.
Depositing and withdrawing by MatchPay at Ozoon
The steps match Bovada's, under Ozoon's name19,20:
- Deposit: profile icon, Deposit, MatchPay. First time, "Join Now" to create a case-sensitive MatchPay ID (it cannot be changed later), then create an Order with the amount and your apps.
- Pay the matched seller through the app the trade names, then wait for them to confirm. Up to three MatchPay deposit attempts a day, depending on account status.
- Withdraw: profile icon, Withdraw, MatchPay. The amount comes off your balance and is held until you create an Offer for it.
- Two per 24 hours. A third withdrawal request stays pending until 24 hours after the first.
As at Bovada, "all deposits must be wagered completely before any winnings can be withdrawn"9, and MatchPay credit cannot be sent directly to a bank account10. The full how-to covers the trade clock and what to do when a trade stalls.
The sports bonus, and why MatchPay misses it
Ozoon's sports welcome bonus is 100% up to $400 plus 50 free spins on Gods of Luxor, from a $20 minimum deposit. The deposit plus bonus must be played through 12 times on sports or horses within 30 days, and free-spin winnings carry a 25x casino rollover. Ozoon "has the right to cancel or withdraw the Promotion or change any of its terms at any time"21. You choose one welcome bonus on your first deposit, and the choice is locked in18.
Ozoon's MatchPay deposit page says bonuses are not available for MatchPay deposits "unless otherwise specified in the bonus description, this includes our Welcome and Refer-a-Friend Bonuses"19. The sports bonus description does not specify MatchPay. If you want the bonus, fund the first deposit by Interac or crypto and ask Ozoon's support to confirm before you do.
